In the Footsteps of the Impressionists.
This is a walking tour lasting approximately 2 hours, following in the footsteps of the French Impressionist Alfred Sisley who visited the Hampton Court area in 1874 and painted several images en plein air.
We follow in his footsteps to look at the locations he painted to compare how the area has changed (or not) using images of his original works as a comparison to today’s views, together with an indepth history about these views along the Thames.
