A walk from the Tower of London to Smithfield.

This is a walking tour lasting approximately 2 hours from Tower Hill to Smithfield. We visit iconic London landmarks including the Scaffold site on Tower Hill where at least 125 people were beheaded for crimes against the state; Aldgate to the scene of Jack the Ripper’s penultimate victim Catherine Eddowes; St Paul’s Cathedral which was an impromptu execution site for four of the Gunpowder Plotters in 1605. On this walk there are several other irregular sites for crimes and executions, which we will visit, many of which are little known.

 

Dates – This tour runs on Tuesdays, 16th, 23rd & 30th November at 11am and also on Saturday 20th November (11am)
